Catholic support by Jorge Cruz
" I am not Wiccan, nor Pagan. I am
Catholic, however I am not one of those believers who are, well
fanatics. I do not frown down upon other beliefs or religious
practices, and well I'll let you know why, well actually there
are some practices that I am opposed to, but that is more for
moral reasons. I am like I said a Catholic, I am also studying to
get my B.A., in Anthropology and well that has really allowed my
mind to expand and learn more about the world. I have also
realized that there really are two things that govern our world,
Magic and Science. And well religion falls into magic and
technology into Science and etc. Unfortunately due to the
misinterpretation or rather warping of whatever religious
manuscript is the basis of the mainstream religions today, magic
got a bad rap, and well things such as the Inquisition and Salem
happened. Unfortunately they happened because of political
reason, people in charge got a whiff of power and decided to
destroy anyone who may act different or not follow their
guidelines, and in today's society that is also true. I think
magic is something that is fascinating, not because of the myths
or stories associated with it, such as fireballs, and levitation
and so on, but because magic is the basis, and that's why
religion falls into that category, unfortunately tell any
preacher that and they will say you are going to hell. Well, that
is my view on that, as for your vigil, good luck. I think that it
is something good that should be done, and well you guys already
know what you guys are going against, and you should be commended
if you pull it off. Too bad that the pentagram, like the Swastika
have through time been warped and misshapen into something
opposite of what it means. Well I hope you read this"

"Merry Meet,
I have spent several hours now looking over many of the Satanist links and learning about their religion. While I don't agree with many of their philosophies I do agree that they have been quite misunderstood. I am a bit ashamed that I believed many of the myths without checking them out for myself. When I next update my webpage, I will link back to your main page but will provide an explanation to my readers about why Satanism is linked from there. While there are many misconceptions about witches being evil, there are even more about Satanism and I want people to understand that TBT is about eradicating myths about all the non-Christian religions."

I know that you get tons of
e-mail each day, but I just wanted to drop you a note on your
page.
First of all, I am Wiccan. I am from Texas, part of the
bible belt and have felt first hand the unpopularity of
Pagan-based religions. I enjoyed your Missions and Methods
page, but there is a lot that i don't agree with. First of
all, your evidence of persecution page has nothing
ther worthwhile. We all know that persecution still exists,
but some of it is not even persecution! Take for instance
the person who recieved a Bible from some Mormons. How is
that persecution? Personally, i feel happy when someone
tries to convert me.. Why? because even though they believe
tht our way of life is wrong, they still care enough for us to
try and get us on the "right" path. Now, when you
explain to them that you already have a religion and thank them
for caring about you and they they go into a breserker rage, i
can understand that being on your
page. I personally have never met anyone who freaked out
when i responded politely.
You say this is santuary for those who are persecuted by all
means, but i think that this is a haven for fanboys. You do
more damage with this site than good. How can you expect
others to respond in any way but distrust and fear when you
promote propaganda like this. It is good that you honor the
ones who have dies for their beliefs, but don't try to say that
all Pagans are martrys... I have met all too many who have
claimed they were pagan for the "shock value"
just to make a statement and "be different".. just like
everyone else. Since you seem so hung up on history, may i
remind you that Christians, whom you seem to be directing this
at, have also gone through a "buring times."
Actually, i take that back.. I apologize. You seem more
intent on the now than the past.. I think you ahve a great
premise for a page, but i think you are doing more harm than
good.. thank you.. Vanessa
