Getting informed & Getting involved!

I Have a web page that answer questions on paganism.. and I freind asked me
about the helm's amendment today, since in his witches almanac it today was
the day it went to vote..  IF you are not familer with this amendment it
was set forth to make any organization that wasnt upholding christan values
and teaching such not elliglble for a tax examption.. I.E. Pagan convens and non profit org would not have the same rights as thier christan counter parts..
It as well tried to cancel gov funding of art programs ect. Well back to
the point the thing I found scary that this law was brought forth in 1995,
and yet no pagan that i know knew what this amendment was or how it could
have effected them then or now. Thankfully it didnt pass but youare right
we cant sit by and think the consistution will protect up if we dont watch
what they are doing in the goverment..Was wondering if you new some ways i
can find out more about what may be done In goverment that will effct or
discrimate against my religion and me..
Thanks

BURNING TIMES NEWSROOM

New York Times brands all witches as Wiccans.

Oct.31st front page article "Witches Cast as the Neo-Pagans Next Door"

The New York Times recently did an article about modern witches. Although the press is very good, it is unfortunate that a responsible newspaper should contribute to the false ideas about witches. NOT ALL WITCHES ARE WICCANS!!!

Wicca is a respected, growing branch of modern Paganism, but the article disreguarded Druid witches, independant witches and so forth. The author of the article might as well stated that all Christians are Baptist and practice Baptism.

We urge any non-Wiccan witch to send a letter or email to the New York Times and enlighten them. letters@nytimes.com
