School Principle Bans Wearing Pentagrams
"In Biloxi, Ms. at the high school teens are aloud to wear crosses, but not pentagrams. When I attended high school I was told to remove mine, I said no. In reply Mr. Loyld Seymour (principle) said "keep that for your heating fires on the beach". He said the usual "Satanism" crap and as I tried to explain we do not believe in Satan he said he would expel any one who wore a pentagram. I am out of high school now, but I hear it has gotten worse now gothic makeup and black clothes are a "no no". In Biloxi's mall you are not aloud to wear "gothic cloths" if you don't have plenty money to spend. When does it end.............." ~ anonymous

Christian Youths stone a Wiccan
"In my old school in Palm Bay Florida (Central Junior High), I let my religion become public. I am a Wiccan. I wore my pentagram to school. I told allot of people what Wicca really is. A week had gone by that a group of about 12 charismatic Christians had been harassing me and all that. A few of them assaulted me (raised their fist to me, swung at me [i evaded several times, never got hit], threatened my life, etcetera...) and then i was walking home from school one day and they all followed somewhat behind me for about a mile and a half, then they started yelling at me, threatening me some more like: "Hey, I feel like burnin' a witch!" "You guys see any Satanists to kill?" "Hey witch! We're gonna send you to hell!", then they started throwing railroad stones at me, i got hit in the back and head by several. I told my school and they told me that "maybe you should accept Christ and they would not hassle you" (quotable, Mr. Dedman (spelling could be off on name), (the Grade Dean at Central Junior High in Melbourne Florida)" ~ student ( we shall not print their name for their own safety)

"On the news lately, I've seen ABC dealing with a series
of articles on faith and medicine. Why does "Faith"
mean Christian, when I have faith in my pantheon of 8 gods,
buddhists have faith in their nothingness, wiccans have faith in
their goddess and gods? If religion is in the news, it is
Christian. If a paganistic religion is mentioned, it is labelled
either satanic or a cult, often times both. Just my notice. Also,
why are the holidays at the workplace Christian holidays? Why
can't I have Imbolc off same as a Christian has Good Friday off?

Harassed by fellow Wal-Mart Employers
"Greetings Gentlebeings,
If you post this, please do not use my name.
I worked at Wal-Mart in a large city in Florida for about ten months on the overnight recieving crew. I worked with a young man who seemed like a nice guy. He knew I was Pagan, have been for fifteen years, and I knew he was "washed in the blood of the lamb" as he put it. We dated for several months, went to Jacksonville to see his old friends, and were very polite and non-judgemental toward each other.
Then, he quit even speaking to me, for two reasons: One, that I "needed saved" and God had told him this, and Two, a new girl started working with us who was 22, blonde, and had a much nicer car and dope, both of which she would share with him.
I dropped the relationship. Several weeks later, this girl dropped him. He being without a car, he called me back up and we began "hanging out" together. I went to his house on a direct phone call from him, saying he had something he needed to say. When I got there, he proceeded to take my car keys, and he and his friend, a minister in some Holiness temple, bombarded me for about three hours regarding my religion. He took a pentagram ring, which I wore to symbolise my union with the God, and threw it into the shrubbery out the window.
I was very fringtened, especially when he and his friend began quoting the "Ye shall not suffere a witch to live" part of the Bible, because nobody knew where I was. After three hours of all this, I finally got to my feet and called out the seven names of the Lady (Isis, Astarte, Diana, Hecate, Demetere, Kali, Inanna) chanting it to drown tham out.
My friend(?) looked at me, threw the keys at me, and said "Get out you hellspawn." Yes I ran like hell. Work then became a nightmare. He told everyone I worked with that I was a devil worshipper, a lesbian, a pedophile, and worse. He put pages torn out of the bible in my locker, underlined to things that discussed the suffering of the unrighteous, etc...
I complained to my boss, but she said she couldn't get involved in the personal problems of employees. I contended that it was not a personal problem any longer since he had taken to calling me "devil worshipper" and "satan lover" in front of other employees.
I ended up quitting within the month. When I went in to get my last paycheck, my boss' boss was there. I told him why I was quitting. He acted surprised and said he hadn't heard anything about these things going on. He offered to transfer me to another store instead, but at that point I had another job and didn't really trust him anyway.
I later found out that my immediate supervisor (the woman who didn't want to get involved in personal problems) was transferred to another store because of several incedents happeneing on her shift that she couldn't deal with.
The bastard that did all this still works at the same store. That's Ok, though, now I make about twice the money I did there, only work during the day, and everybody at my new job knows everything there is to know about me and my beliefs. They ask me to read tarot cards for them on occasion. But I was really scarred and felt like I was the one in the wrong for a while. It tested my faith in the Lord and Lady. It made me a better witch."

Christian Club harasses Pagans
"There is a Christian club at my school, they call
themselves the "Free at Last" club because religious
clubs are not allowed (even though they do bible study and all).
Anyhoo, a few of my friends were going to start a pagan club
(which would include native american shamanism, celtic paganism,
wicca, etc.) We had about 20 people joining. Well, one of the
members of the "Free at Last" club caught wind of it
(how I don't know it was a word~of~mouth thing) and said that she
couldn't believe that some pagans were gathering at school. She
would have to tell someone if we harmed anyone. My friend told
her that the one rule of paganism is " harm none". she
looked at my friend and said "Oh, you're one of *them*"
and then stomped off. Later that day she walked past us, pointed
and scowled... Just another one of those poor closed minded
